In the interest of fairness

The American press has shown only a few images of the suffering in Gaza. They like to show those cinematic images of cool explosions off in the distance. They're also not showing many images from the Israeli side. Shown below is an Israeli picture of the damage done by the legendary Quassam rockets. This morning, NPR claimed that the sound of gunfire was coming from Hamas anti-aircraft guns. Hamas anti-aircraft guns? Hamas looks to be spending the bulk of their military budget on ski masks.

There's no good guy when both sides decide it's OK to kill people. However, one of the bad guys is acting very badly. It's been claimed that Hamas is using weapons provided by Iran. I don't think you need to go all the way to Iran for the makings of a pipe bomb. Israel however is quite openly using billions of dollars worth of US supplied weapons.

The top image came from the truly disturbing Zoriah blog. The bottom image comes from an even more disturbing set of photos posted at the website Palestinian Mothers

Whenever the United States talks about Israel, fairness has nothing to do with it. According to our government, Israel is always right.
I've often wondered, when there are only about 13 million jewish people in the world, how can they cause so much trouble? Of course, comments that are anything other than pro Israel gets you labled anti semitic.

I don't think the problem is Jewish People. There are plenty of powerful people, most of them not Jewish, who figure they can benefit from this sort of thing. Hamas might be a proxy for Iran, but Israel is most definitely a proxy for the US.
