I don't know when I'll get a chance to post anything new. I'm still fighting the nameless virus. I'm very tired. A friend from work was murdered last week. Say a prayer, or if you're not the praying type, think a kind thought for Chuck Everett.
This is hard news, Jon. Arbitrary and cruel. It struck me all the more harshly because of the circumstances, and the fact it occurred the very day before my wedding. It is like a chain of bad decisions set in motion and gathering dark momentum. Sorry.
Thank you all. The funeral is tomorrow in Oakland. The District is sending a bus for employees wishing to attend. Chuck was a sweet soul, deeply religious in a good way. He wasn't trying to prove who is right or wrong, he was trying to live in a way that seemed right to him.

I heard this story on the radio. Made me sad and bewildered at the time. Sorry to hear he was one of your friends.
